Gazi Giray Khan II (1554-1608) 13th Khan of Crimea (r. 1551-1577). Apart from being a successful statesman and military strategist, he was a good poet, calligrapher, and composer ande supported artists and scholars. He produced excellent instrumental compositions, many of which are still appreciated and frequently performed in concerts. His vocal compositions have not survived. |
