Tab'î Mustafa Efendi was born in Istanbul in 1705. His life was devoted to his interest in music and calligraphy. He became known with his later works. The manner and style in his works are pure and masterful; his melodies are worked with utmost artistry. He honed his original and lyrical style among the composers of his day. Thirty four of his works have survived to the present day, including four instrumental pieces, one kâr, twelve bestes, eight aðrý semâîs and nine yürük semâîs. He died in 1770.
